When did you get your start in Real Estate?
I started my career in real estate sales in 1998 in Marin County, at the largest brokerage in the county, Frank Howard Allen. I worked with an amazing mentor who was the first agent to stage a home here in Marin. We would take pictures with a camera, have the film developed at Longs Drugs and then glue-stick the pictures onto a flier that we created in a word document! We’d make 20 of them for each listing. Times sure have changed!
What services does your team offer?
For buyers, we make sure to line the client up with the right lender/loan product. We guide them through the pre-approval process aiming to get them underwritten before they start looking for homes to buy. We review inspection reports with them and we take them through each paragraph in the contract so they are an educated buyer. Agents in our community know that our buyers are committed to the process and understand what it takes to close a transaction, which sets our buyers apart from others who might be writing offers.
For sellers, we offer a suite of services. We strongly encourage prepping homes for sale and we are able to project manage this for the seller. Corcoran Global Living also offers a concierge service which pays for the work to be done so the sellers don’t have to pay until close of escrow.
Who is your favorite type of client?
Motivated clients. I want my buyers and sellers to be “all in” when it comes to their next move by becoming educated about the market, and allowing me to strategically position them to get what they want, whether they are buyers or sellers.
Why do clients work with you and your team?
They appreciate my directness. They appreciate our knowledge and love of the real estate business. I have different agents on my team that appeal to different clients. Feeling comfortable with your agent and confident in their abilities is important. Our clients rely on our judgment and experience on a daily basis. They refer us to friends and family because we’ve helped them make good decisions.
Coffee or Tea?
Coffee. All day long.
What do you do when you’re not selling real estate?
I enjoy pickleball, hiking, reading and watching British Murder mysteries.
I also spent a year and a half completely gutting a rental property of ours and remodeling it.
I love cooking and spending time with my husband and our dog, Jamba.
Our three kids are scattered across the country so my favorite time is being able to spend time with them.
