Jeremy’s whole life he has lived the country mouse/city mouse life. He was born in Malta, Illinois, where both his parents were graduate students at nearby Northern Illinois University. He was raised there, but also had a home in downtown Chicago. He loved having this experience as a child because living between these two worlds gave him an appreciation for diversity and differences. Jeremy did spread his wings and has lived in quite a few places including Chicago, New York, Paris, Geneva, Illinois, and Fennville, Michigan. Him and his husband have now settled in their new construction home in Glenn, Michigan after years of going back and forth between Chicago and Glenn. There is something about Southwest Michigan with its honesty, openness, and spirit of intentional living that he has not found anywhere else.
Jeremy is always learning! He attended Northern Illinois University and received a bachelor of fine arts in Communication and a bachelor of arts in French language and literature. He then received his AA in interior architecture at Harrington College of Design and a Certificate in European Business and Practices and French Business Language from Alliance Francaise Ile-de-France.
Jeremy’s philosophy in life is to practice intentional living and he loved to serve others. He prides himself on being a resource and guide. Every day he continued to work on making himself the best version he can be. He tries to apply real-life experiences with his extensive education and industry knowledge to serve those who have entrusted him with their needs. He loves to volunteer and have volunteered with multiple organizations, including Habitat for Humanity, Lazarus House, Ronald McDonald House, and the Human Rights League, just to name a few.
Jeremy has been working in real estate since 2007. Most of his experience is in new build construction. He is passionate about new build development and love collaborating with clients on building and finding the home of their dreams. The connection, collaboration, and trust that is shared between himself and his clients is what drives him every day. Because of this philosophy, Engel & Völkers is the ultimate fit for him. The collaborative company/team culture and access to resources are unmatched in the industry. It fits perfectly with his lifestyle and beliefs.
When Jeremy is not working, he is a voracious reader and takes nightly five-mile walks (weather permitting!) with his husband. They have run several marathons, but his running days have been replaced with nightly walks. Jeremy and his husband have three wonderful children, one son (Logan) and two daughters (Haley and Hannah). He has learned to live his life intentionally and enjoy every moment.
