Jerry was born and raised in Mesa, AZ and still resides there today with his love of nearly 34 years, Norma. Family has always played a significant role for this Arizona native. Growing up, "faith, hope, and enthusiasm!" were words frequently spoken in the Humphrey household, which to this day helps Jerry maintain a positive approach to life. He spends as much time as possible helping to care for his folks who are now retired. Both Jerry and Norma consider themselves lucky to have Emma, their only daughter, living close by as well. By just spending a few moments with Jerry, you will see that integrity, commitment, passion and fun are the guiding values he lives by.
Jerry participated on the cross-country and track and field teams in high school and college and is still an avid runner today. Over the years, he has completed full marathons, half marathons and several 10k races. His list of running achievements also include two "running with the bulls" appearances in Tecate, Mexico - and, he has lived to tell about it!
Besides running, Jerry enjoys the challenges that competitive golf provides and like everyone, he struggles to maintain a single digit handicap. Jerry also loves the serenity of fly-fishing, hiking and camping in the high country of Arizona with family and friends.
At an early age Jerry was always interested in advertising and marketing. He went to work in the newspaper industry and sold advertising to help his clients market their businesses. In 1981, Jerry entered the real estate profession. He has been and continues to be inspired by sales trainers such as Zig Ziglar, Earl Nightingale and Mike Ferry, who promote an honest, no-nonsense approach to building a successful real estate business where the client always comes first.
Jerry is grateful to his exceptionally loyal past clients, personal referrals and repeat business that form the foundation of his career. It is not uncommon to find Jerry making dozens of phone calls each day as well as knocking on doors to also find new, potential buyers and sellers.
