About Jill
Having gotten her real estate license in late 2004, she started with Long Realty in February 2005. She transitioned from a family Surveying/Land Development company into being a full time Realtor. Her previous job gave her insight into real estate from another perspective. She watched as a subdivision was taken from raw land to platted lots, assisted with AutoCAD drafting, county research, interpreting legal descriptions, and of course got to work with the crews surveying everything from vacant land to grading for new development. She began real estate on the land side and transitioned into residential homes & land. Education has always been important in her life. She went to college with the intent to teach high school English. She graduated Cum Laude from Fort Lewis College with a degree in English Education. After moving to Arizona (being born and raised in Colorado) with her then fiancé, now husband, teaching lost its luster for her and she turned her attention to real estate. Since it’s important to her to understand any new project or venture she undertakes, her goal is to help educate her clients through all facets of the real estate process, mortgages, title, escrow, contract law, local trends and more. So, her teaching license did come in handy, just not in the way she expected at the time! Her philosophy as a realtor is to educate, present all options, pros & cons to her clients to help them have the tools to make the best decisions for them. Even though she loves helping her clients buy and sell houses, she does have other interests. As she’s gotten older, she has transitioned from an avid softball player to an avid golfer. She loves games and competitions of all kinds whether it’s cards, pool, ping pong, corn hole, darts and most other interactive social games. She also enjoys reading, cooking, baking, landscaping, and always has improvement projects around the house. She has so many interests and is always excited to try something new!
