John Duerler

John, a native of Southeast Texas, began his journey as a standout college football player in Tyler, Texas, before serving as a jet mechanic in the Navy during Desert Storm. Post-service, he transitioned to Los Angeles and embarked on a successful real estate career. Starting as a property manager for a major real estate development firm, John managed marketing, leasing, accounting, and on-site maintenance for a large portfolio of multi-unit buildings. His dedication and expertise soon earned him a promotion to Mergers & Acquisitions, where he supervised the sales training program for property managers. During his 8-year tenure, John played a pivotal role in building the firm's real estate portfolio to over $50M and simultaneously grew his personal real estate holdings in Los Angeles and Texas.

In 2006, John settled in the Hancock Park/Windsor Square neighborhood, quickly committing to the community's development. Leveraging his extensive experience in real estate transactions, John, along with Jill Duerler, established Hancock Homes Realty on Larchmont Boulevard. Under John's leadership, the boutique brokerage flourished, earning him the title of #1 Residential Sales Agent in the Hancock Park-Wilshire area multiple times. His exceptional negotiating skills and passionate client advocacy have made him a formidable force in any real estate transaction.

With over 25 years in the industry, John's success is matched by his dedication to giving back. He is an active member of the Wilshire Rotary Club and volunteers with various Los Angeles organizations. John is also an active member of The Los Angeles Tennis Club (LATC) and currently serves on the membership committee. He is the proud father of two wonderful teenage boys, Jackson and Liam. In his free time, John enjoys playing golf, tennis and sailing.
