Originally from Brooklyn, NY, John moved to Maryland to attend the University of Maryland College Park. After graduating with a degree in economics, he stayed in Maryland until 2007 when he moved his family to Richmond. John has over 30 years of real estate experience. He started in multifamily property management, managing over 18,000 units in 7 different states and the District of Columbia. In addition, he has been a part of over $750,000,000 of property transfers. John got his real estate license in 2002 in Maryland. He went on to get his DC license and in 2008 got his Virginia license. He is a Graduate of the Realtor Institute and completed his broker educational requirements for Maryland and Virginia. John got into real estate investing in 2000 and has worked with many other investors as a Realtor and mentor, including navigating the strict and sometimes complicated guidelines on 1031 exchanges. However, John loves to work with new buyers. Having purchased many homes himself, and knowing how stressful and emotional it can be, he's learned to guide his client's expectations to keep the stress and emotional roller-coaster to a minimum. Sellers love John's emphasis on pricing their home right and marketing it to reach the most qualified buyers in the shortest period. He upholds his motto, "Trusted for Service, Respected for Results." John loves dogs! He currently has 3 rescues, two pit bulls and a German Shepherd. The GSD was a foster failure. He has fostered over 30 shelter survivors, helping them find their forever homes. He's been married for over 28 years to his wife, Donna, and has 3 adult children. John spends his spare time on the Chesapeake Bay where he tends to his oyster garden and goes fishing and crabbing. He also enjoys property renovations and working on classic cars.
