About John

John Lindstrand proudly serves as the Broker-in-Charge for Coldwell Banker Sea Coast Advantage, overseeing both the Myrtle Beach and North Myrtle Beach offices, as well as leading the company’s entire Commercial Division across Horry and Georgetown Counties.
With nearly two decades of real estate experience and over 900 closed transactions, John brings a commanding depth of expertise in residential, commercial, and investment real estate. His leadership role is focused on brokerage operations, commercial strategy, agent development, and driving growth throughout the Grand Strand market.
John is a United States Marine Corps war veteran, having served honorably during Operation Desert Shield and Desert Storm. Following his military service, he spent nearly a decade as a deep sea commercial diver, managing complex underwater projects across the globe.
He later transitioned to New York City, where he held senior corporate roles at KPMG and Marsh & McLennan, before relocating to Myrtle Beach in 2005. There, he began acquiring distressed properties using creative financing strategies such as subject-to deals—fueling a passion for real estate investing that ultimately led to a full-time career in brokerage.
Since entering sales in 2008, John has built a reputation as one of South Carolina’s top short sale specialists, successfully navigating hundreds of complex negotiations with banks and lenders.
He holds broker-level expertise in:

John is also a seasoned real estate investor with a diverse portfolio including residential rentals, multifamily properties, commercial assets, and land. He’s completed accredited training in home inspection and mortgage brokerage, adding depth to his technical knowledge and deal execution.
John has held numerous industry leadership roles, including:
•Board of Directors for both the Coastal Carolina Association of REALTORS® (CCAR) and the South Carolina Association of REALTORS® (SCR)
•Committee roles within CCAR: Legislative, Candidate Screening, and Professional Education
•Former RPAC Chair for CCAR and RPAC Trustee Co-Chair for SCR
