About Karen

Karen was born and raised in Ithaca, giving her the benefit of a broad knowledge of the area. Before deciding to explore her passion for real estate in 2008 she worked for 11 years in the veterinary field as a Veterinary Technician and in Veterinary Management. More recently, she held the position of Manager of Operations at Ithaca College ’s Student Health Center for seven years.

She has been closely connected with both Cornell University and Ithaca College for many years, earning a Bachelors degree from Cornell University in 1990 and more recently, a Certificate of Completion for Ithaca College ’s nationally recognized Leadership Program. “I look forward to utilizing the knowledge developed and skills honed during this intensive course to help lead people through their real estate transactions,” Karen says. “Let my commitment and energy work for you!” She has also served on numerous Ithaca Board of Realtors committees including being a member of the Board of Directors for 2020 and 2021.

With a lifelong interest in horses and a diverse riding background, Karen was Assistant Coach for the Cornell University Men’s and Women’s Polo teams for 24 years, and the Head Coach of the local Interscholastic Polo Squads. In addition, Karen has a strong interest in the community arts, especially the local theaters and school music programs. Her family has a long history of participation with the Ithaca City School music programs, in which her two children were highly active, and Karen served on the board of the Ithaca Community Orchestra for to years.
