Kate has worked with buyers and sellers in the Madison area full-time for eight years. She found her way into the industry during the purchase of her first house. Her buyer’s agent encouraged her to consider getting licensed and pursuing this as a career, as he recognized that she would be really good at what he does. She has a background in nonprofit direct service work with vulnerable populations and found the skillset very transferrable. With real estate, she has found deep meaning helping clients transition from one stage of life to another, which is so often the reason people move: growing families, job change, empty nests, retirement, loss of a loved one. Kate is uniquely skilled at working with clients through all aspects of these major life changes.
When Kate works with sellers and buyers, her role is as a project manager for all aspects of the purchase and sale. There is a myriad of different moving parts that all happen at a rapid pace, and it is her role to stay ten steps ahead to have the experience be as smooth and simple for her clients as possible. Clients value her organization, communication and education skills, warmth and patience, precision, diligence, and calm but in-charge demeanor.
Kate has lived on both east and west sides of Madison and know the metro area well. She currently lives with her dog Sebastian on the Westside of Madison adjacent to cooperatively owned neighborhood forest where she takes daily walks through the woods and Owen Conservancy. She loves to camp (all seasons, bring on the cold!), spend time with friends and family, explore unfamiliar places, bike to yoga, cross country ski, and read.
