About Kathy
Hilton Head Island and the Lowcountry are about so much more than just real estate. It's a lifestyle, and a state of mind; a little piece of paradise that she has been fortunate enough to call home for over 30 years. Allow Kathy to share this dream with you and teach you about the Hilton Head that she has come to know and love.
A native Washingtonian, she grew up with the bustle of the city and its ever-present politics. Summers were spent at the Maryland shore. Kathy has always loved the beach and the sea, so when she discovered Hilton Head as a graduate student of Tourism in the late 1970’s, the move was an easy decision.
What she soon discovered was a small community of friendly, energetic people who, like her, had relocated here to make a life in this largely undiscovered paradise. It was the people who drew her here and have kept her here. The lush semi-tropical environment, natural beauty and pristine beaches are just an added bonus.
Kathy's career prior to graduate school had been counseling. One of her professors saw the tourism program as an extension of that career. He guessed right because in 1980 she got her real estate license and began helping people discover their special piece of this paradise. As in her counseling career, she believes that listening is the most important part of her job. Over the years Kathy has helped many families find their primary, vacation or second home and made many clients friends.
Along the way, she met her husband and really learned about the area since his family has been here for generations. His family owned a farm over near where Sun City is now. So, she can truly say she knew the area before it was developed.
Her business experience has allowed her to focus on all of the Lowcountry. She considers it a privilege to share her knowledge and experience with you.
