About Kent

Kent Markgraf, Esq. is an associate real estate broker with Compass and currently works out of the Smithtown office. Kent is the team lead of The Vanderbilt Team, which is a 17 agent team that specializes in working with sellers and first time home buyers on the south shore of Suffolk County from Babylon to Patchogue - but he also services all of Suffolk and Nassau County.

Kent started off his career in real estate in 2013 as an attorney and slowly transitioned to working as a broker with the goal of changing the real estate experience for his clients. Kent focuses on making his clients an expert in their individual transaction by educating them and keeping them informed each step of the way. While Kent has been involved in over 200 real estate transactions, he treats each one as if it is his own. Prior to joining Compass, Kent was a Top Performer at his prior brokerage from 2018-2021 and was selected as a top 15 agent out of his firm in 2021.

Kent also volunteers and sponsors Brotherhood for the Fallen which is a charity that raises money for families of law enforcement officers killed in the line of duty.
