About Kimberly

Kim Hensley is an accomplished chef and former restaurant owner, an experience that taught her how to run and manage a successful business. After earning a business management degree from Grand Valley State University, Kim earned her culinary degree at the prestigious Le Cordon Bleu’s Western Culinary Institute in Portland, Oregon. She then traveled and cooked up and down the west coast before returning to her hometown of Frankfort, MI, to open a small restaurant. Her success in the restaurant business encouraged her to expand her entrepreneurial portfolio and she started purchasing and selling her own commercial real estate as well as foreclosed properties for investment purposes.

The daughter of a successful real estate business owner and broker in Northern Michigan, there was never any doubt she would work in the industry and has found remarkable success after settling in Rockford with her husband and four children. Known professionally for her keen business and market knowledge, patient and genuine disposition and her savvy negotiating skills, Kim’s clients say she is second to none. Since entering the world of real estate, she has consistently been recognized by her peers as a top producer. She was named 2013 Rising Star Finalist agent of the year by RE/MAX of Michigan. She was a 100 percent Club Member in 2014 and 2015 and a Platinum Club Member from 2016 to 2019. In 2019, Grand Rapids magazine recognized Kim as among the top 5 percent of Realtors in West Michigan as part of their annual Real Estate All-Stars program.

Drawn to Rockford’s charm, outdoor lifestyle, and great schools, it is now home to Kim’s family. When she is not working, she loves to spend time with family, volunteering at school, in the kitchen cooking, up north on the lake or on the ski slopes depending on the season.
