Born and raised in Utah, Kristel Gough has focused both her personal and professional life on an expectation of hard work and personal excellence. She is a believer that everyone has the power to control their own successes and failures, and the key to measuring one’s success is working hard and doing the absolute best you can in everything that you choose to involve yourself in.
Kristel attended the University of Utah before diving headfirst into the world of Real Estate. Kristel’s devotion to excellence shows in her exceptional career history within the industry, first, as a member of one of the top-producing mortgage lender teams in the state of Utah for over 22 years and since 2016, as a licensed REALTOR®. At the age of seventeen, Kristel joined Zions Mortgage as a Quality Control Auditor, working part-time after school and softball practices to pay for a much-loved first car. From there, she worked her way up to Loan Processor and then Loan Originator, and from there to Branch Manager and then Mortgage Lender/Owner for 22 years.
At this point, after over 20 years in the mortgage world, Kristel decided to move on and set out to obtain her Real Estate license in 2016. Her business took off and in September 2020, Kristel joined Summit Sotheby’s International Realty, a full-service brokerage known for a reputation of excellence and ‘million-dollar marketing’ no matter the area or price point of each home. Kristel has several designations and served as President Elect for Women’s Council of Realtors, Utah and then acting president in 2021. Kristel also served as past president of the Women’s Council of Realtors®, Salt Lake in 2020 and 2019.
Kristel is also a certified, professional Life and Business Coach. Kristel chose a career path in Real Estate because of the unparalleled level of reward that working with both clients and colleagues provides.
Utah is an exceptional place to live, and it is her absolute honor to be a part of helping people search for and secure their new home. She enjoys all areas of Real Estate but specializes in new construction, working with her daughter to sell, stage, and design homes for two local Utah builders. When she is not ruling the Real Estate world, Kristel loves to travel, put the finishing touches on her newly completed dream home, and spend time with her three children.
