About Laura
When we go through life changes, we often think we have to trade one priority for another. Instead, I’ve learned how each can strengthen the other.
For years, I poured myself into my work. I built my business from the ground up, earned my broker’s license in 2000, and spent decades helping other people move through some of the biggest transitions in their lives. I loved what I did. I was proud of what I built. On the surface, I had everything I could have wanted and more. But there was a part of my life that had yet to come together.
My husband and I have been together since high school and have really gone through life side by side. We had always hoped for children, but for a long time, that part of our life felt just out of reach. We decided to pursue IVF, and just before my 44th birthday, we welcomed our son, JJ. And everything I thought I knew about success, about balance, about what it means to build something meaningful, shifted completely.
By the time JJ was born, all the groundwork I had laid building Home Quest Realty gave me the stability and support I needed in this new chapter of life. I had a small team of people I trusted who shared my values and stepped in when I needed them. Many of my clients were friends or long-time referrals, and they were so excited to meet JJ. Their joy in celebrating that part of my life reminded me how much of this work is built on relationships, trust, and being there for each other. That season brought more warmth and connection into the work and showed me we’re not meant to do it all alone.
Motherhood didn’t take me away from my career; it brought new depth to it. I understood more clearly what I was striving for and the kind of values I wanted to instill in my son, living by example. I had spent years helping other families create stability and find that sense of home. Now I was doing the same for mine, and it made every part of my work feel more personal. It also made me more intentional and efficient with my time and even more understanding of how families’ needs evolve. I gained a deeper understanding and empathy for families just like mine.
Faith has always been a part of my life and keeps my priorities clear: put God first, be present for my family, and serve others. When I have faced a challenge, my mom is the one who reminds me to pause and pray. It’s what pushes me to live with intention, making choices that reflect my faith in God, the love I have for my family, and the call I feel to serve others with care. I’m proud of the life I’ve built that aligns with what matters most.
Outside of work, our life centers around JJ’s schedule, from school events to football, wrestling, and everything in between. I sponsor his teams, volunteer at his school, and volunteer with Flat River Outreach Ministry (FROM), a local nonprofit supporting families in our community with food, housing, and financial assistance. I really enjoy being involved in the community and lending a hand where I can.
Every season of life has brought new lessons, and I’m grateful for each one. They keep me growing, learning, and ready for whatever comes next.
For me, real estate has never been about the sale. It’s about the people behind the move. Whether someone is upsizing, downsizing, starting over, or investing in their future, I see my role as walking with them through the change at their own pace. I want every client to feel seen, heard, and genuinely cared for.
