After 16 years leading a top team at Corcoran, Louisa Gillen co-founded SIMPLE Real Estate in 2018 to offer a powerful value proposition to her ever-growing base of new and repeat clients. Always a math enthusiast, Louisa’s analytical prowess was evident from early childhood through her Vanderbilt days, where she received a BS in Mathematics. Her instinctive analytical skills, coupled with 20+ years of negotiating NYC real estate, make her an invaluable asset to any transaction.

Louisa was born and raised in Carnegie Hill and moved to the Village in 2007, where she lives with her husband and two children. The contrast between the Upper East Side and downtown is apparent, but what may not be as apparent, and Louisa naturally understands, are the subtle nuances of every micro-market and neighborhood and how they change block by block and even building by building. In addition to being a keen listener, observer, and researcher, Louisa possesses an uncanny ability to recall facts and information — which gives her an edge in evaluating properties and negotiating deals. She credits her hands-on, entrepreneurial spirit to her father, who ran a private medical practice and prided himself on a compassionate bedside manner, and her mother, who encouraged her to pursue real estate. Louisa guides her clients with an honest and analytical approach, always respectful of the emotional aspects along the way. Her proactive, problem-solving attitude ensures the process is as simple and stress-free as possible.

In her free time, Louisa enjoys spending time with her family and friends in Quogue, playing golf, tennis, or on the beach. During the winter, she cannot resist a ski vacation at least once a year. Louisa is also enthusiastic about interior design and always has a discerning eye to help style and stage properties for maximum appeal.
