Born and raised in Southern California, Machree “Cree” Quaker’s path to real estate has always been about more than property—it’s about people, purpose, and place. Her journey began during her Anthropology studies at UC Irvine, where she worked alongside families in Xicotencatl, Mexico, building temporary housing and immersing herself in their daily lives. That formative experience sparked a lifelong dedication to housing access, which continued back home in Los Angeles through her work with South Central housing coalitions and a local homeless shelter.
At just 22, Cree was mentoring high-risk youth in Hollywood, helping them build sustainable life plans and regain their footing. Her leadership soon expanded into full-time roles teaching seminars, launching youth outreach networks, and founding The Empowerment Times. Her impact earned her a scholarship to NYU’s Wagner School of Public Service, where she earned her Master’s in Urban Planning and Real Estate.
By her early 30s, Cree was advising high-net-worth clients in entertainment and business, guiding complex negotiations and property acquisitions. After her offices in the World Trade Center were lost on 9/11, she pivoted, launching a boutique real estate firm that married her expertise in investment, design, construction, and renovation.
Today, as founder of The Machree Group, Cree helps buyers, sellers, and investors navigate the ever-evolving real estate landscape with insight, empathy, and strategy. Whether it’s a Hudson Valley hideaway or a transformative restoration project, she’s passionate about turning real estate into an empowering experience for her clients.
