Marian has seen many changes in the world of real estate since she began selling in Berthoud 34 years ago, and has necessarily kept up-to-date with technology. When you work with Marian, you get a tech-savvy, experienced broker who knows the area very well, and with RE/MAX Town & Country you get a small office brokerage with a large presence through their affiliation with the RE/MAX brand. Born and raised on a small family farm east of Denver, Marian left the small community where she grew up after high school, putting herself through school and graduating from the University of Colorado at Boulder with a degree in Business in 1967. She worked for the Air Force at Martin before becoming a full-time stay at home wife and mother. She and her family moved to Loveland because of her husband's job with Great Western Sugar Company in 1970, then to their new home southwest of Berthoud 42 years ago. Marian was always involved in her community, volunteering in the classrooms, serving on committees and in organizations. She was appointed to the Larimer County Planning Commission and served from 1979-1982. She worked as Advertising Sales Director at GROUP Publishing for a few years before beginning her real estate career in Berthoud in 1985. In 1993 after son Gary had graduated from Colorado State University, the two of them started their own company, Maggi Town & Country Real Estate. They were the exclusive marketing agents for several subdivisions, but notably Berthoud Heights West (west of Berthoud High School) between 1994 and 1998, and Mary's Farm on the southeast side of Berthoud between 1995 and 2000. During these years and after, they have helped numerous buyers and sellers relocate to, from and within Berthoud and the surrounding communities. Both have handled all types of real estate, but Marian has specialized primarily in residential, while Gary has become an expert in vacant land, property management and commercial sales as well. He has also been called upon for development assistance as the community grew. RE/MAX Town & Country was launched in 2008 when Marian and Gary purchased a RE/MAX franchise. As Berthoud grew it became apparent to the Maggi’s that while most people knew who they were, there were many moving to the area who did not, and the advantage of affiliating with a well-known and respected name would be a benefit, not only to them, but to the buyers and sellers they serve. Marian has benefited her real estate community over the years by serving on the Loveland/Berthoud Association of Realtors in several capacities including secretary, board president, and CAR Director, and was honored as Realtor of the Year in 1993. She has earned designations including CRB, CRS, SRES, ePro, GRI. She has been affiliated with the Berthoud Chamber, Kiwanis, the Berthoud Main Street program, is a long-time member of PEO. She and her husband, Gary, Sr. celebrated 54 years of marriage this year, and enjoy their children and grandchildren who also live in the Berthoud community.
