Mark is a native Austinite who graduated from Anderson High School and The University of Texas. He has an MBA from University of Texas - Dallas, and he has over thirty years of sales and consulting experience working with global companies providing IT services, consulting and software to Fortune 500 firms. Mark frequently worked with top level executives to help customers increase output, reduce costs, and improve quality. Mark has extensive experience working with insurance companies, finance companies, banks, oil and gas firms, high tech companies and software organizations.
Mark’s passion and enthusiasm is instrumental to his success. He has a lifetime of knowledge about Austin and is working with his mother, Carol Strickland, who brings over 40 years of real estate experience in the Austin marketplace. He and Carol have lived in Austin for over one hundred years combined. Mark is married to another native Austinite, Robin Strickland, who also graduated Anderson High School and Concordia University. Their son Jackson is at Hyde Park Schools. Few in Austin know and understand the city better than the Stricklands.
Mark enjoys supporting and coaching Jackson’s football, basketball and baseball teams. He is an avid Texas Longhorn sports supporter who regularly attends UT football and baseball games. Mark has completed five marathons and runs several times a week in his neighborhood in Westover Hills. He enjoys the outdoors particularly hunting and fishing at the family ranch two hours outside Austin. Mark’s favorite places to visit include Big Bend, the Rocky Mountains and Tuscany, Italy.
Mark and Carol enjoy working with buyers and sellers. Their experience is knowing the local neighborhood, schools,
recreation and workplaces differentiates them. It’s Mark’s desire to get to know his clients’ dreams and wishes to help them buy or sell their home.
