Matt is the co-founder/owner of Austin Real Estate Experts. A graduate of The University of Texas at Austin in 1987, he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics and a minor in Business Administration. He earned his real estate license as a college freshman in 1983, his broker’s license in 1985, and taught real estate classes professionally at age 23.
A second-generation realtor, Matt literally grew up in the real estate industry in a household with two active Texas realtors. In his 28 plus years of real estate industry experience, he has helped thousands of satisfied homeowners. Matt was recognized Wall Street Journal Real Trends #2 ranked agent in the United States in 2020 based on transaction count and #8 in 2021, as well as a Five Star Professional Real Estate Agent 10 + consecutive years, based on production and customer satisfaction, designated a Platinum Top 50 agent in Austin, and is consistently one of the producers in Texas.
In addition to brokerage real estate, Matt’s industry experience includes mortgage lending and new homes and sales management. His extensive background provides a broad understanding of key financial concepts, allowing Matt to help buyers secure their best deal on a new or resale home and helps navigate them through the mortgage process to find a program that best suits their financial objectives. His listings sell much faster, and for more money than the local board of realtors’ average.
