At the start of my career, I never envisioned becoming one of the owners of RE/MAX Ready. In fact, all I really knew was I wanted to work for myself—and I was excited to pave the way even if I had no idea what the future had in store.
I also knew I wanted to make a difference. No matter what field I chose, I was determined to turn it on its head, finding better ways of doing things through a mindset of constant innovation and self-improvement.
After graduating from Bucknell University and wandering the country for a few months, I decided to partner with my friend since elementary school, Eric Rehling, to found an investment partnership. We bought our first investment property in Conshohocken and worked out of a bedroom. Despite our humble lodgings (and the well-meaning concern of our family members), we were successful and decided to get real estate licenses to broaden our knowledge.
In 2010, we founded RE/MAX Ready on the premise of making a difference. This philosophy has many practical applications. For one, we run our office differently than most, emphasizing excellent customer service and helping people over sales volume. Secondly, we strive to make a difference in the lives of our agents. As a broker, my favorite aspect is helping someone go from zero knowledge of the industry to making that first sale independently. Coaching all of our agents toward self-sufficiency is our goal and specialty.
