As a lifelong resident of the South Carolina lowcountry and Top Producing Realtor, Matt Whitfield knows first hand why so many people have decided to make the Charleston area their home. Whether it’s the small town feel of Summerville, the cool breezes of the beaches, or the rich history and world class dining of Downtown Charleston, Matt truly understands why Charleston has become a world class destination.

After graduating from Summerville High School, Matt continued his studies at the College of Charleston, where he received a bachelors degree in Political Science. Immediately after graduating, Matt joined his family business, where he ran their successful multi-unit restaurant business serving as the Director of Operations until successfully brokering a profitable sale in 2017. Since then, Matt has applied his many years of marketing and negotiating knowledge to help his clients with all of their real estate needs.

Upon joining Carolina One Real Estate, Matt quickly began making his mark in the local Charleston area real estate market. In his time at Carolina One, Matt has garnered multiple achievements, including Rising Star in his first year, Office Top Dog, Silver Circle of Excellence, and Gold Circle of Excellence. “My goal is to serve my clients as their trusted real estate advisor, not just until the close of their sale, but for a lifetime. Whether it’s finding them the home of their dreams, negotiating the best deal possible, or helping them get the most for their home when it’s time to sell, I am there to help my clients achieve all of their real estate goals”.

As a valued member of the Relocation Team at Carolina One, Matt excels at making the relocation process easy for people making a new home in the Charleston area, whether it’s an individual coming here for the first time, or assisting a local corporate partner find homes for new employees.

When Matt isn’t hard at work for his clients, he enjoys spending time with Cheryl, his wife of over 25 years, and their two children, Payne and Whitney Ann. His interests include pickleball, golf, travel, and attending live music events whenever possible.
