05/21/2015 - slvercool Sold a Single Family home in 2015 for approximately $175K in Valrico, FL The world needs more real estate agents like Matt Rego. He made the process of selling our home as seamless as possible. Matt was straight forward and honest from the beginning. If any problem came up during the process he was right there with a solution. He was even at the house on moving day and helped us load the truck. We felt like Matt was a member of the family. We also had Matt help us find the builder for our new home. He has been a great help in the process, from cost negotiating to picking out the matching tiles for the cabinets at the design center. We would definitely use his real estate services again and highly recommend him to anyone who is looking to sell or buy their next home. Review from 12/15/2014 - rstanton687 When I decided to sell my home in Tampa I was living almost 1500 miles north in Minnesota. I had been away from the South Tampa area for almost 3 years and was concerned about how to price the home as well as how I was going to deal with all of the things that needed to be done to prepare the house for sale. Matt stepped up to the plate and made the whole process almost seamless for me. He had a network of trustworthy painters, flooring specialists, handy-men and landscapers to get things whipped into shape quickly and efficiently. He coordinated everything and was there to meet them, inspect their work and send me pictures. We spent a significant amount of time determining where we should price the home to move quickly, but at a fair price to me - understanding that time is money. We had a full price offer in less than 48 hours and closed less than 2 months after listing. He was always very responsive and babysat the whole process leading up to the close. My only regret is that he didn't get a larger proportion of the total commission as it was very clear to me that he drove the whole process. Matt was always responsive to our calls and e-mails and was always punctual. As first time homebuyers, Matt was good at holding our hand through the whole process and keeping us up to date on the status of our loan. When it came to closing costs, Matt did his best negotiating and was able to make us happy so we didn't feel cheated. I spent about 6 months with another Realtor, and when I decided to switch to Matt, he found me the perfect home almost instantly! Being a first-time home-buyer, I was very nervous and had a lot of questions, but Matt made the entire process seem fun and easy. Matt stayed with me through the entire process, and kept checking on me afterwards to see if everything was okay and ensure I remembered to apply for my Homestead Exemption. First let me start by saying that I work in the real estate field as a paralegal for a real estate attorney and deal with realtors often. I can honestly say it is hard pressed to find a realtor that you actually like, let alone want to deal with. :) I typically find that more often than not, realtors tend to be arrogant know-it-alls that only care about the endgame and how quickly they can pick up their commission check, regardless of your situation. Therefore, I was hell bent on purchasing my home without a realtor. Then I inadvertently contacted Matt Rego while searching for a home. Although I told him that I was not in the market to use a realtor, he kindly told me that he was available to help if I ran into any trouble getting in to see any homes. Well, I did run into this issue and Matt quickly came to help with one phone call. After only one meeting with him, it was obvious that Matt was unlike any realtor I had dealt with before and I therefore decided to use him in the search and purchase of my new home. All realtors should be like Matt Rego and I just can not say enough great things about him. He was/is FANTASTIC!! Matt always went above and beyond. He was helpful but not pushy and always a pleasure to deal with. He also had great referrals for some services I needed for closing. Matt acted as though you were his only priority and made himself available when needed. He actually cares about you and not just the commission/bottom line. He was always willing to help and to quickly try to rectify all stressful encounters throughout the closing process. I truly felt like Matt was family. Matt Rego is a stand out from all the rest in his profession and I HIGHLY recommend him for any real estate transaction. If you have ever had a bad taste in your mouth from other realtors, you will have a different opinion once you use Matt. Review from 01/04/2015 - sumlercorp Our mother recently sold her home in Valrico, Florida with help of Matt Rego. My dad died last March and Mum could no longer afford to keep the house. My mom is 83 years old. She needed help. Both my sister and I live in NJ and neither of us could get more than a couple of weeks off from our firms as we had just taken bereavement time off for Dad’s funeral. Before I left Florida, I called a major real estate office in my mothers area and requested a market analysis to determine the asking price. The salesperson conducted a walk-through and gave my mother a list of items that needed to be taken care of before her agency would list the house. They never provided the market analysis and I had to call her and request a copy. The salesperson didn’t follow-up over the next two weeks and we were just about to contact another real estate office when Matt came along. We never contacted Matt or his office. He was canvassing the area and found my mom. Mum expressed to Matt that she needed a quick sale and Matt made that happen. Matt was exceptional, not just as a salesman but he is an exceptional person. That’s a rarity these days. Matt stepped right up as if he were my mother’s son and pitched in. He raked leaves, polished lamps, moved furniture, and made arrangements to have handymen make any necessary repairs for a quick sale. Matt is knowledgeable not just about real estate but also about how to put a quick sale together. He was solely responsible for bringing this sale to a successful conclusion with a win for both my mom and the buyers. Matt proved to be honest, hardworking and most of all, a caring person. Thank you Matt for the kindness you showed my mother and for your professionalism. If we are ever looking for property in the Tampa area we already know who we’ll be using as our salesman. After posting the listing, we had showings the same day and multiple showings throughout that weekend. Everything was very smooth as Matt was on top of every detail and in constant contact with the realtor's, brokers and title company. The day before closing we were hit with a unexpected surprise which brought the process to a abrupt stop. We were back at square one.
