Melanie Aalbers

An alum of The Bishop's School in La Jolla, Melanie obtained her BS in Hotel Administration from Cornell University and worked in hotel operation with ITT Sheraton/Starwood in La Jolla and New Orleans. She received her MBA, with an emphasis in finance and real estate, from Loyola University and coupling her personal experience with her formal education, she transitioned into consulting and performed hotel and resort feasibility studies nationwide before becoming an asset manager and owner's representative for several Four Seasons, Ritz-Carlton, Marriott, and Westin properties worldwide before transitioning back into the residential real estate market.

Melanie currently resides in La Jolla with her identical twin daughters. In addition to real estate, she is incredibly involved in the local community. She is a current member of Las Patronas, a past president of the Junior League of San Diego and has served on the Board of the Bird Rock Foundation, Bird Rock Elementary Governance, Muirlands Foundation, and The Bishop's School Alumni Association. In her spare time, you can find her sailing or with her daughters and Australian Shepherd playing at the beach or at a lacrosse tournament.
