When we were first thinking of making the biggest transition of our lives, selling our house of 15 years and finding our new dream home, we immediately thought of Melanie. Melanie has a rare combination of artistic eye and no-drama execution that would prove to be crucial for staging and selling our century-old DC rowhouse. In addition to knowing all the nuts and bolts of the industry she possesses the much-harder-to-find traits which you can't learn in any type of training: professionalism, honesty, empathy, calmness under pressure, just to name a few. Add in a willingness to answer late night phone calls from nervous clients and even step in to act as marriage mediator on a few occasions. In short, we had high expectations and she more than exceeded them, turning what could have easily been a very stressful experience into an enjoyable one throughout. Do not hesitate to call Melanie!

If you're looking at reviews for real estate agent, you're already in a tough place. But I've got good news for you, you've found your real estate agent in Melanie Clark. Are you scared shirtless of the intense home buying process? Melanie will guide you through with ease and clarity. Have you already fired your agent because they're a money-grubbing trust fund bro who wears loafers without socks and hasn't listened to your financial requirements? No worries, Melanie is all about finding the right house for you at the right price. She LISTENS. Like, actually listens. Which is a rare enough quality in an agent that she should be immortalized in bronze in Malibu, or wherever the hell the Real Estate Agent Hall of Fame is. She has such an intense knowledge of the DC area market, you'd think that she had some kind of druidic connection with the land itself, which speaks its truths to her in whispered omens that she interprets for our mortal ears. I bought a house with her, and I didn't hesitate to sign up with her for selling. My house sold in FIVE DAYS. Melanie made one of the most trying decisions a person can make way easier with her knowledge and poise. No greed, no pressure tactics, no overpowering cologne or pulling up half an hour late in his dad's Maserati. Melanie is good people. Choose Melanie.

Melanie Clark is the most skilled, professional, and reliable real estate agent that my husband and I have ever worked with. Melanie helped us buy and sell a house in the middle of the pandemic, always keeping an eye out for the health and wellbeing of our family, including our newborn son. Her excellent advice gave us a competitive advantage; we sold our house in under a week for well over the asking price.

Buying a house during the pandemic was quite a challenge. It was a difficult market and we looked at many house before settling on our dream home. Melanie Clark is simply the best and I want to shout from the mountaintops that anyone looking to buy needs to enlist her to head your team!

As first time home buyers, my wife and I came into the process quite overwhelmed and immediately found a steady guide, a creative thinker, and a tenacious partner in Melanie. Not to mention, she is a delightful, caring person with a fabulous sense of humor. My wife and I were actually a little sad to sign on our house because it meant Melanie wasn’t obligated to talk to us every day!

Each step of the way and every pivot we made, Melanie was right there with us - offering ideas, support, assurance, and lots of laughter. We originally thought we wanted to buy in a specific, highly competitive neighborhood and Melanie was game to tackle that challenge. When we decided to broaden our search, she was right there at a moment’s notice to tour us around to houses in a bunch of different neighborhoods she recommended because they offered similar qualities to the one we had originally targeted. And boy did she get it right - Melanie is such a great listener and knows her stuff! When we found our dream home in one of the neighborhoods Melanie suggested, she hopped to and we submitted within hours of viewing, putting us first in line and winning us the contract.

Once under contract, Melanie deftly guided us through all of the inspections, financial timelines, and worries about closing. And when we hit a snag with the sellers a few days before close, she took the time to talk us through all of our options to come to the best solution (and made sure I didn't react in a knee-jerk way). Another fantastic quality: Melanie is a protector and trust me when I say that you want her on your side.

We are now several months into living in our dream home and I can confidently say that Melanie may be the single best thing that 2020 gave us. It was her thoughtful, conscientious work that found our home and her perseverance plus can-do attitude that secured our home. We are eternally grateful. We’ve already referred Melanie to several friends who have also had phenomenal experiences.

So if you are in need of a real estate agent: hire Melanie. It will be the single best thing you can do for your home search.

Melanie is amazing. My wife and I started looking for houses seriously in September. Melanie worked with us, took us at our own pace, and understood our own process. Could not have been happier with Melanie! Buying a home during a pandemic was daunting, but she made the process as smooth and informative as possible. She is so easy to talk to, knowledgeable and organized.
(She's also unafraid to say she doesn't know the answer to something instead of making something up--she does her research and gets back to you.)

Melanie is an AMAZING realtor and person! My husband and I thought it would be a good idea to search for a home during COVID-19 (whoops), but Melanie not only made the process easy, she was on top of COVID-19 related policies and how they pertained to buyers AS THEY WERE ROLLING OUT! Even aside from COVID, there's SO MUCH INFORMATION when it comes to home buying, and she's great at explaining everything clearly and concisely every step of the way (a godsend for first time homebuyers like ourselves).
