With so many close friends in local residential real estate, it would seem incongruous to select a random agent; luckily for us, the stars aligned and Michael Hargreaves happened to be the listing agent at the first (and only) place we toured. The buying experience was so enjoyable that we used him to sell our house as well. His professional guidance through both transactions resulted in the buy-low-sell-high experience that one can only dream about -- but this really happened. A+ overall, to include his incredible support staff.

The only downside? Now we have yet another close friend in residential real estate....

We worked with Michael Hargreaves to sell our home in Cleveland Park and we used Michael to find our next landing spot. Throughout our process he was outstanding is many ways. For example, he supplied us with resources to help us pack and move. He managed our process from beginning to end, including in the middle of the process when we changed our mind about the timing of the process and accelerated it substantially. He kept us informed throughout the process and he worked with an "all the cards on the table face-up" approach. We can’t recommend Michael enough! As first time home buyers, it took some time to narrow down what we were looking for, but Michael was there for us every step of the way. He was always very responsive, answered all of our many questions, and really took the time to tailor his approach to what we needed at each moment. He was open and transparent around the realties of the market, but never pushed us in one direction or another. He fully supported us through multiple different offers (one of which we rescinded due to some first time home buyer cold feet), at a range of price points, and provided the same level of excellent service at every point. Michael and his team made listing and selling the DC condo a dream. From the candid counsel on what did (and didn’t) need to be addressed to get the property listed, to actually taking care of some of those action items himself (the White Glove service is priceless), to managing offers quickly and getting under contract within 10 days, I can’t compliment Michael’s efforts enough. Michael recently helped me close on my first choice condo in 3-weeks and at a fantastic price!

As a first-time home buyer, I was initially nervous about the process, but Michael was there every step of the journey. He proactively communicated what to expect and provided support and guidance whenever needed, which made me feel prepared and confident.

Many moving pieces had to come together on a tight timeline for the closing, and Michael flawlessly orchestrated everything. I also benefited from his professional network in DC; when the house inspection was due in the same week, he called in someone he works with regularly.

That kind of service and support has not stopped since we closed on the house either; he has provided me with a great list of vendors to help set up my new home.
