A Western New York native, Mike grew up in a large family on Grand Island where he graduated from Grand Island High School and then attended Canisius College. Mike has always been active in sports and loves to play golf, scuba dive, snow ski and bicycle. After college, Mike worked in the construction industry where he soon became a journeyman boilermaker. From 1978 to 1988 Mike was assigned to job sites all over the United States. In between job assignments Mike would buy income properties in Western New York. In 1988 Mike took a position with a local construction firm heading up their Sale/Estimating department. He also began working, part time, in the Real Estate business. In 1990, Mike left his position in construction, to work full time in Real Estate where he’s been ever since. Also, in 1990, Mike married his sweetheart of 18 years, Karen McDonald. The couple live on the West River of Grand Island and are active in their community. Karen also enjoys playing a round of golf and will occasionally join Mike on a bike ride. The couple also enjoys ballroom dancing. Mike is a dedicated professional when it comes to serving his clients and customers. He has a NY State Real Estate Broker license and has earned the ABR (accredited buyer’s representative), E-Pro, GRI (Graduate of the REALTOR® Institute), and SRES (Seniors Real Estate Specialist) designations. Whether he is working for the seller or working for the buyer, Mike believes in “giving his all” to his clients.
