A native of Mount Prospect, IL, Michael McGlynn moved to the Omaha area to attend Creighton University. Michael’s experience in real estate began in 2001. He spearheaded the company Lancaster-Douglas Investments, LLC to acquire and renovate properties for the purpose of leasing. He used his experience, learned from his father, to manage the jobsites with a hands-on approach. With his experience in home renovation, he is excited to help home sellers and buyers see the quality and value of a new construction and real estate investing. Michael’s affability, enthusiasm, integrity, diligence, and work ethic have served his clients well over the years. Michael knows that long-term relationships are far more important than a single transaction.
Once starting as a representative of a local new home builder, Michael hit the ground running. In his first year he was awarded the “2012 Rookie of the Year.” Michael’s dedication to providing the most up to date information to his buyers is reflected by the many designations he has quickly earned. He currently holds the designations of GRI (Graduate, Realtor Institute), CSP (Certified New Homes Sales Professional), CRS (Certified Residential Specialist), SRES (Senior Real Estate Specialist), PSA (Pricing Strategies Advisor), C2EX and NIFA Specialist. In addition, he has been honored by earning the REALTOR® Mark of Excellence Award 2012 through 2022, and Passport to Professionalism, which is an award recognizing a member’s involvement in the local, state, and national level REALTOR® organization.
Michael became involved in Realtor® leadership when in 2012, he assisted teaching CSP course sections to other agents while mentoring. His first Omaha Area Board of Realtors® committee was Education in 2020 in which he chaired in 2021. Besides still being active for that committee he serves on the GRI Board of Governors and was the Dean in 2021. He is currently the Education chair for the Nebraska State CRS Board and is an instructor for REEsults Coaching Real Estate School.
Michael’s hobbies include music; he’s performed at regional venues playing the guitar, mandolin, bouzouki, bass, bodhrán, and singing. He also is an avid athlete, especially triathlon and pole-vault, who loves the Chicago Cubs.
Michael holds a Bachelor of Science in Emergency Medical Services and a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish from Creighton University. Michael also studied at the University of Nebraska at Omaha with an emphasis on Commercial Real Estate Finance.
