She grew up in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, and earned her BS in Accounting from Southern University. In 2005, her husband and herself were looking to plant roots in a new city and relocated from San Jose, California to Austin, Texas. They were immediately drawn to the tech-friendly, big city atmosphere that also has the close-knit feel of a small town.
She is an active member of the Austin community, volunteering as a Board member with the United Way of Greater Austin and Any Baby Can, Chair of the Buildings and Property Committee of the Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, and am a proud member of the Austin Chapter of Jack and Jill America, Incorporated. To balance out her busy days, she enjoys all that Austin has to offer, spending time with her husband Will and their three children, as well as reading, watching movies, and traveling.
