If you want a HOME Otis Baker of Remax is the best agent you can find.
All of us have specifics when looking for a house. We made it even harder on Otis being three people from two separate apartments into a one family house. We gave Otis strict specifics on what we needed individually to find a HOME. That was mid-2018. This summer Otis found us what we needed after a year of searching in all weather, being available when we called as well as calling us and giving updates on changes in the market, patiently answering our questions with all parts of the process, never ashamed to say, “I don’t know, let me check” when stumped for an answer, and working with the fact that we work in New York and get to Jersey late in the evenings, leaving limited availability for showings. When it came to closing, he made sure that all parties did their job expediently and correctly. He even checked to make sure we were settled and sent emails about the neighborhood area and what was nearby after closing.
This is what a real estate agent should be like, we told our agent what we wanted, and not the HGTV version but a HOME where we have what we NEED and can get what we WANT later. After a yearlong stretch of patience and professionalism, our door, the one he found us, our HOME is always open to Otis.

I am so grateful that I purchased my first home with Otis Baker! As a first time home buyer I was nervous and full of questions but he made sure I was comfortable by sharing his expert knowledge and always being accessible to answer my inquiries throughout the entire process. Otis was extremely helpful from start to finish. He gave us his expert advise and recommendations. He was always available whenever we called and very responsive to text messages. We had a great buying experience because we had an excellent broker. If ever we purchase again or rent one of our apts., Otis is the broker we will call without hesitation.

I started my journey with Otis in November of 2016, searching for homes in Newark. I finally closed in May because Otis was patient enough to allow me to find the right one. I had two real estate agents before Otis who tried to impose what they liked in a house onto me. Rain or shine, snow or storm, Otis and I looked for houses every weekend for 5 months. He was able to recommend reputable home inspectors, attorneys, mortgage lenders and licensed contractors. We explored Forest Hill, Plainfield and East Orange.
