Richard's philosophy is to offer the highest quality personal service not only for the current transaction, but for a lifetime. This focused approach allows him to guarantee complete satisfaction, so that the client will want their friends, family, and associates who need a real estate consultant to put their trust in Richard as well. They can count on him to provide them with the same level of concern and dedication that he has pledged. His vision is to build lifelong relationships, one person at a time. To him, it is the only way to do business, and he thinks the client will appreciate the difference. References available upon request. Work History Richard is a native Californian and has been a resident of the Bay Area since 1965. In 1975, he moved to Berkeley to become a counselor for the California School for the Blind. It was at this job that he met his future wife, Jennie. During this period, he returned to school and earned a Bachelor of Science degree from San Francisco State University. At this same time, he was also working for Bill Graham Presents, assisting in the production of Rock & Roll concerts. He began his real estate career at Marvin Gardens Real Estate over twenty years ago and immediately became one of the top-producing agents, a status which he has maintained annually! Community Involvement Richard and his wife have two children who graduated from Kensington Hilltop School, and then went on to graduate from El Cerrito High School. Their son Kevin is a graduate of UC San Diego, and their daughter Steffi is a graduate of UC Berkeley. Over the years, he has participated in many fundraising functions in connection with his children’s school activities, such as the Kensington Hilltop School’s Garden Party. He is also a continuing supporter of Youth Enrichment Strategies, a non-profit organization providing summer camp experiences for children and families in Richmond. He also supports the American Cancer Society’s Walk for the Cure, and the annual Toys for Tots Drive at Marvin Gardens Real Estate. His family and he are also very passionate about animals and animal rescue. Over the years, they have fostered and found loving homes for over 100 cats and kittens! And of course, they have several of their own formerly feral rescue kitties, as well as their beagle Poppie!
