About Ronald
Ron got his start in real estate when he bought his first fixer-upper in San Luis Obispo in 1971. He was a 20-year-old Cal Poly student. The amount he made from the sale of the property paid for his college education.
After college, he returned to his hometown of Fresno and dove into the world of construction. He built banks and medical buildings throughout California. He also designed and built his own office and warehouse complexes that he owns and manages to this day. But his favorite projects include some of Fresno’s gems: the restoration of the historic Meux Home and Kearney Mansion, and the construction of the Reptile House in the Fresno Chaffee Zoo.
In 1977, he started his own real estate brokerage, Stumpf and Company. It was time to be his own boss. Since starting his business, he has experienced five major recessions. He believes real estate is a good hedge against inflation: in the long run, values end up increasing after the recession.
After over 45 years in real estate, he still gets excited for each day! Every transaction is different, and most of all, he likes working with his family.
He uses his extensive knowledge and experience to best assist his clients. As a landlord himself, he likes to give his clients an insider look at how landlords and tenants think. He also has been teaching investing in real estate classes since 1981.
Ron stays in contact with former students who often become his clients.
