Sammy is an alumnus of New York University, where he earned a degree in Politics. Sammy serves as the treasurer of the board of a private charitable foundation. He previously served on the DCAR Public Policy Committee and as a State Political Coordinator for the Association. Previously a longtime resident of Kalorama, Sammy lives with his husband Nick and their Havanese dogs in a historic home in Woodley Park.
