After growing up in a small Kansas town, and completing my undergraduate work in Florida and Iowa, I arrived in Fort Collins, Colorado, in 1978.
In 1980, I was hired as a teller and new accounts rep at a small local bank. Over the next three years, I also managed collections and eventually originated and
processed mortgage loans. For 21 years, I had the opportunity to work at several banks and mortgage companies in northern Colorado, and this extensive
background provides me with a knowledge base and personal connections that have complimented my practice as a REALTOR since 2001.
Although a BA in Art with teaching certification may not seem like a direct path to a career in real estate, communication and creativity are strengths I bring to my real estate brokerage practice. My clients tell me they appreciate my ability to think outside the box and manage details while guiding them through the complexities of buying and selling their homes and investment properties.
Today, my real estate practice includes mortgage clients I helped more than 20 years ago, their families and friends, and the many referrals that have come from these long term relationships.
Throughout my real estate and mortgage career, I have been an active member of mortgage and real estate associations, serving in officer and committee member positions at the local and state levels. In 1991, I was honored as REALTOR of the Year by the Fort Collins Board of REALTORS for my long term work on behalf of our local real estate community.
Beyond REALTOR life, I enjoy photography, presenting creativity workshops, traveling, journal writing, and exploring life with my two sons and their families, which includes 6 grandchildren. And, visiting art exhibits!
