Having been burned in prior experiences of paying too much for over valued fixers due to overzealous realtors eager to close a sale at the highest price, I advised her that my criteria were to play and pay fair but absolutely no bidding wars. I need not have worried about being steered wrong by Sharon. She is the consummate professional, fair and honest in her dealings on both sides of the table, a person with a calm head and kind heart who listens first, and speaks second, and chooses her words with care and concern for a positive outcome. After initially meeting her via phone in Fall of 2014, we visited the Vancouver and Camas area during Xmas and Sharon showed us several properties. She knew all the neighborhoods, schools and market trends very well. After we returned to California, Sharon set up automatic email notifications of homes that met our criteria. Given what we had learned while visiting, it was clear that the buying situation was competitive and we'd have to act fast once we found a house we liked. She then referred us to a great mortgage lender who was able to work through the complexities of my finances and get us approved with minimal hassles. In Spring 2015, after getting taxes done and getting lender pre-approval, we asked sharon to gather more info on homes of interest and place bids for us, which she did quickly. We didn't win the first home, but on the second home, Sharon helped us improve our bid and get it accepted. Afterwards, she diligently and quickly arranged for inspection, and we flew up to Vancouver for a day to attend it. Various issues were found that would need repairs. We returned to California that evening and Sharon then assembled various repair estimates and succeded in having the seller agree to pay them. She also took care of a number of details like installing missing smoke alarms, removing left-over junk, etc. Finally when we closed on the home, she also sent us coupons for appliance warranty repairs, had the grass trimmed and put a lockbox on the door so that when we'd arrive from California, the house is all ready for us. Basically, she made the buying process, quick and easy and showed that she took pride in getting us a great home in great shape. If you're looking to move to the area from out-of-state, Sharon can get the job done for you.
