Sruti Desai

Sruti Desai is a Jersey native and Bordentown resident. She attended Northeastern University where she obtained a bachelor's degree in Communications in 2006 followed by her MBA and MS in Finance in 2013. She has a diverse professional background having worked as a media planner in NYC, and an operations manager, owner & CFO of a small business, and a business coach in NJ. Since moving to Bordentown City in 2013, Sruti has put her passion for community service to work by taking an active role as co-chair of the Bordentown City Creative Team and Green Team, co-manager of the Bordentown City Farmers' Market, and member of the Bordentown City Environmental Commission and Old City Hall Restoration Committee. She collaborates with many different groups and organizations throughout the state championing environmental education and sustainability solutions. In 2019, Sruti became a member of the Burlington County Women’s Advisory Council and was honored as “Woman of the Week” for her dedication to community. In 2020, she received the Sustainable Jersey Sustainability Hero award and kicked off her real estate career as a licensed real estate salesperson at Smires & Associates. Sruti has 10 years of personal experience buying, selling, and renovating real estate in New Jersey. She has firsthand knowledge of the process, the energy it requires, and the emotional and financial impact it has. She is a strong client advocate who is committed to educating her clients, maintaining open lines of communication, and offering transparency so they feel a part of the process every step of the way. Sruti wants her clients to walk away feeling comfortable and confident they’ve made the best decision for them.
