Stephen Gomez hails from San Francisco, his birthplace, and completed his education within the Bay Area. Graduating with a double major in Communication Arts and English Literature from the University of San Francisco, he then pursued further studies at the University of Madrid, earning a degree in Philosophy and Literature. After a brief period spent as a creative writer abroad, he returned to his roots in San Francisco, embarking on a career in residential real estate.
Over the span of more than four decades as a real estate broker, Stephen Gomez has consistently upheld a strong commitment to community and a keen interest in contributing both financially and through his time. He has actively participated on the Board of the St. Francis Hospital Foundation, the venerable Nob Hill Association (San Francisco’s oldest neighborhood association), and various Homeowner Association Boards and Committees. Additionally, he dedicated his efforts as a tutor and interpreter at the Episcopal Community Services Adult Education Department. At present, he remains engaged with the America Scores Foundation, offering after-school soccer and poetry lessons to underserved public school students.
In the early stages of his real estate career, Stephen Gomez identified a shared vision with Stephen Patton, centering around the emerging high-end condominium and cooperative market. During this formative period, they proposed a partnership that has since proven to be highly successful and rewarding throughout the ensuing decades. Their dedication to serving clients with professionalism and altruism has consistently elevated them above their competitors. In his newer associates, Ted Bartlett and Victoria Davis, Stephen Gomez has recognized the same distinctive perspective. Together with Stephen Patton, this fresh coalition of kindred professionals is devoted to an unconventional ethos in their field: prioritizing relationships over immediate transactions. Operating beneath the expansive Compass national umbrella, they have introduced an innovative and novel approach to the sales and marketing of residential real estate.
