About Steve
As a life-long resident of the Santa Clara County known as Silicon Valley, Steve Nevarez has lived in the community of San Jose, CA and know its surrounding cities very well. He and his wife grew up in these areas and are now raising their five children, and attending their local community church.
Steve has worked at the East Side Union District, as a para-educator working with bilingual students, where he also became the High School Baseball coach for 6 years. Then, he worked as a counselor at Juvenile Hall for 3 years, where he was able to help many teenagers get back into school, find jobs, and understand different cultures and ethnicities when dealing with many problems at home.
Steve began his real estate career in 2003, where now he was helping people make the biggest decisions in their lives, whether it was to sell or buy a home. At Millennium Realty, he first started his business and quickly became a top selling agent. After 2 years Steve moved to Lakami Professional Realty, where besides being the #1 agent at the office, he also became a Manager of the office and training.
There at Lakami, at the end of 2006, Steve got his first short sale lead from an Open House he hosted. He took up on the challenge of listing a property with a distressed seller and negotiated firmly with third party lenders. He closed the transaction, the lender got their capital and the seller was relieved of paying back some portion of the debt owed to the lenders. Since then, Steve has taken upon all the short sale listings that have been presented to him to list and has closed many short sale listings.
Furthermore, Steve currently works for Intero Real Estate Services, which is a well known broker in the bay area, has been recently voted and awarded "Best Attitude" at our office, and is in the in the Top 5% of all agents at Intero Real Estate.
Steve is highly confident & qualified to work with distressed sellers- he now has an entire team supporting his distressed property listings, which should be treated with the highest level of respect, honesty, and good faith. Steve believes it is his calling- to teach, counsel, and help people no matter their situation. He is committed to take on this challenge and feels that he is highly qualified.
