Steven Mavromihalis has been assisting clients with their residential and investment property needs since 1984. Steven has founded and manages several San Francisco-based enterprises that invest in real estate and real estate related products and services. With business partner Gil Fleitas, he has most recently co-founded THEO, an online platform that seeks to support real estate professionals in providing superior service to their clients.
In his brokerage practice Steven is supported by a highly specialized team that have helped him build one of the industry's most successful commercial and residential practices. Working in true partnership, the Byzantium team provides each client with highly individualized service.
Steven has consistently set record sale prices for both residential income and luxury homes over the span of nearly three decades. Since 2001, Steven and Byzantium have been ranked by The Wall Street Journal as one of the top-producing teams in the U.S.
In 1992, Steven became a founding board member of the Homeless Prenatal Program (HPP) in San Francisco. The program provides prenatal care to homeless women and supports their efforts to conquer substance abuse and find housing and stable employment. Since then, the HPP has helped tens of thousands of women and their families and has become one of the most awarded and highly recognized nonprofit service providers in the Bay Area. Steven is past president and remained an active member of the program's board of directors for more than 15 years.
As an alumnus of both University of California, Berkeley and Stanford University (B.A. Economics with honors '82, B.A., Rhetoric with highest honors '82, M.A. Rhetoric '83, and M.A. History '95), Steven enjoys reading and writing about history and is on the Advisory Board of Stanford's Humanity Center where he envisioned and promoted the endowment of a joint chair in Classics and Political Science.
He and his wife Vickie, an attorney-at-law (Boalt Hall, '90), find their greatest joy in spending time with each other and their four children, Franklin, Nicole, Georgia, and Constantine. Steven's other noteworthy achievements include spending two years on the Greek national fencing team, where he was a multiple medalist in international competition. He is actively involved in his church community, where he and his wife have taught Sunday school to teenagers for almost a decade. In his free time, he enjoys restoring and racing vintage cars, motorcycles, and sailboats with his sons and close friends.
