Susan Brock is a native Texan and has lived in the East Texas area for 40 years and has a versatile background and experience. Susan has more than 14 years of experience in real estate, including the purchase and sales of personal homes as well as the purchase, sales, management, and maintenance of several rental properties in the Jacksonville, Texas area. Susan grew up riding horses in the Waco, Texas area. On a rare occasion, she would ride with Dennis Quaid, the movie star from Houston, Texas, before he became a movie star and was just a teen. He would come with his brother to visit his grandparents who lived at the end of the block from Susan and his grandparents became like grandparents for Susan as well. Dennis and Randy, both learned to ride on the horse their grandparents purchased for Susan to ride as well as two other horses the grandfather later purchased. This prepared them for the movie, The Long Riders, where they, and two other famous sets of brothers also starred. Susan currently lives with her husband, David on Lake Jacksonville and avidly fishes for crappie, bass, and catfish on a regular basis. She and her husband are deeply involved in their community by serving as co-facilitators for Divorce Care at their local church and Susan is the Director of a small deaf ministry at her local church as well. Susan has recently published her first book, called The Promised Land: How Doing Your Homework In Your Wilderness Leads To Healthy, Lasting Relationships and has recently completed several book signings and speaking engagements. Susan also serves as the President of the Venetian Ballroom Dance Club out of Tyler, Texas.
