We used real estate agent Diane Vanna of The Vanna Group to help us with our house search. She is delightful, hands on, and very well versed in the idiosyncrasies of the RE market. We started our search in earnest in January ‘25 after contacting Diane in June! So, add patient to her list of attributes! Diane showed us condos, townhomes, over 55 communities (since we are both in that category, and retired). We had a geographic boundary that she adhered to but also introduced us to some other ideas and locations. Many places on the market are unrealistic in what the seller wants in return for what the buyer gets. Diane showed us these as well so we got a good idea of what is available where, and how appealing or unappealing a given area can be. Her tact proved useful as did her suggestion to try a different style interior. We ended up finding a beautiful move-in ready, needs-nothing home in a style we hadn’t initially considered in an area we hadn’t considered! The best part of the experience other than meeting Diane and her husband Bob is that The Vanna Group is appreciative of law enforcement and established a “rebate” program for current and retired police officers that I will benefit from! We are using The Vanna Group to sell our current home as well because the buying experience was so seamless. It is heartwarming to know there are still people out there who work hard to make others happy!

Recommend by a trusted friend ... we were smart (lucky, really) enough to have Diane as we undertook to sell from a remote location (Tampa) a family home (due to a death in the family) in Chicago. Reviewing Diane and The Vanna Group feels like reviewing a dear friend or family member - how do I even start?

I lucked into being matched with Diane via Zillow and could not imagine a better fit. From the start it was clear that she genuinely cared about me as a buyer and got to know my family’s needs in a new home. She was patient in our search and kept me grounded when a home had one or two features I loved but lacked what she knew were the most important aspects in a home to me (#1: spacious kitchen!).

When it came time to make an offer and negotiate, I knew she was taking good care of us in the process. She was up front and honest, guiding us through the eventual inspection and various steps involved in making it official. She even helped us celebrate when we closed and made my children feel excited for the move. Every single detail matters to her!

When it came time to sell our old place there was no question we’d continue working with Diane! The Vanna Group continued to guide us and helped us prepare for a successful open house and private showings. We had our buyer just a few days after listing and felt that our selling price was fairly and thoughtfully negotiated. Bob and Diane were a joy to work with both as buyers and sellers - I feel endlessly lucky to have found The Vanna Group!!

My family worked with Diane Vanna of The Vanna Group to sell a home so I knew she was the right one to work with to buy my first home.
Diane took the time to get to know me and show me around different 3-flats, 2-flats, 3-4 bedroom houses, condos, apartments, you name it, Diane took the time to make it happen which really helped me narrow things down.
Diane was patient, kind, punctual, and knowledgeable every step of the way. Even in such an aggressive market, Diane helped find a property for me that wasn't yet out on the market! I am so happy with my new home and so happy I used Diane Vanna as my Realtor. She truly is one of a kind and truly is one of the best! I would recommend Diane to anyone who needs a Realtor.

She’s lived in the neighborhood for years, is very active in the community, and was very knowledgeable in helping us determine if the area would be a good fit for our family. As a first time home buyer, I now understand how rare it is to have an honest and open relationship with a seller’s agent. Diane answered any questions we had open and honestly. Diane obviously wants the best for her sellers, but I would say she cares just as much about the buyers, their happiness, and finding a good fit for everyone involved. Diane Vanna of The Vanna Group made finding our first home so easy for us! We were living in Texas, having our first baby and were looking for our first house in Chicago remotely, all during the Covid Crisis.

Diane went on showings with our families, using FaceTime and video to show us houses. She knew what we were looking for so when the right house came on the market, she got to work and got our parents in to see the house right away and then advised us on how to best move forward. We were in a multiple bid situation for our house, but Diane's advice helped us get the house!

The morning of our closing was actually the first day we saw the house in person. We loved it just as much in person as we did through our video calls with Diane! While buying a house without seeing it sounds absolutely crazy, we had such trust in Diane and felt so comfortable throughout the process that it never really phased us.

As first time buyers we were really clueless on the process but Diane walked us through everything and was always happy to answer our questions. During such a stressful time, navigating having a baby and moving across the country during a pandemic, Diane made the home buying process simple, easy, and one less thing for us to worry about.

We love Bob and Diane, who have helped us purchase two homes and sell one in the past 5 years. They are highly responsive to requests for assistance, know their markets well, are always ready to go to bat for their clients, and have the expertise necessary to facilitate the best possible outcome for buyer/seller. During our most recent sale, when we had a 4 month old child, they were really flexible and accommodating about hosting open houses/showings that worked well for our family.
