Vernice’s real estate journey began in 1988 as a newly licensed broker in Jackson, Mississippi. In 1992, she relocated to San Diego where she became a fixture in Southern California Real Estate. She has held the position of Broker Associate for Century 21 Prudential and the Broker of American Veteran Home Center. In 2005, Vernice opened Ross and Ross Realty where she has enjoyed success in the residential market. She has also focused on making the American dream of home ownership by finding affordable housing for military and first-time home buyers. Vernice is known for her infectious personality and can-do attitude. She is a force in the San Diego real estate market, and she is active in a variety of community organizations and professional affiliations.
Vernice is also a licensed Realtor in the state of Texas and is part of the Shad Bogany Team at Better Homes and Gardens, Gary Greene in Houston, Texas. She is certified as a Texas Affordable Housing Specialist and a certified negotiation expert in residential real estate transactions. Currently, she serves as a director for the California Association of Realtors and the National Association of Realtors. In 2014, Vernice obtained a master’s in real estate and in November of 2016, she graduated from the National Association of Realtors Leadership Academy.
