She attended King's high school in Shoreline and then moved to California for 10 years where she received a bachelor's degree from Azusa Pacific University and a master's degree in social work at USC. Her husband and she moved back to Seattle purchasing a duplex fixer-upper near Green Lake. Their first loan was at 13 percent interest. Can you believe it?
