We had an excellent experience working with Wade Petrowich and Malbec Builders on the remodel of our midcentury modern Jack Meiselman house in Palm Springs. Wade handled the major scope of work, including installing new terrazzo tile floors, updating two bathrooms, and completely redoing our kitchen with beautiful custom cabinetry. He also tackled important infrastructure upgrades, including replacing all of the old galvanized steel plumbing and upgrading the electrical panel.

Throughout the project, Wade was an outstanding communicator. Even though we live out of state, he stayed in touch several times a day, and sent us daily photos of his progress. He was completely comfortable managing the project remotely. When unexpected challenges came up—as they always do in a remodel—he consistently offered creative, practical, and realistic solutions.

Wade is professional, reliable, and clearly takes pride in his work. We are thrilled with the results and highly recommend Wade and Malbec Builders. We would absolutely work with him again.

Wade and Malbec Builders served as the general contractor for our renovation of a classic 1960’s Palm Springs mid century modern home. Not an easy job since we live near Chicago. Our renovation included replacing the plumbing, replacing the floors, full update and renovation of the kitchen and two bathroooms. He was instrumental in introducing us to contractors who updated our pool and added solar power. At every turn he provided realistic solutions that fit our home and budget. When renovating a home, naturally there are some surprises. Wade handled these was a total pro, providing full and honest service to address each situation. His communication skills are terrific. From the initial consultation it was obvious they had an eye for detail, asking us questions about our vision for the new room. It was important to us that enclosing the existing breezeway would not look as an “add-on” but rather as an extension of our home. I owned and operated a service company for over 40 years in Kansas City. We had recently moved to Palm Desert and wanted to have some minor things done to our home. Owning a service company for as long as I did I am very particular with the work that I hire out. I received 3 bids and Malbec Builders were one of them. Wade was very detailed with his bidding process. I received his proposal and felt very comfortable going with his company. The workmanship was impeccable. Attention to detail was top notch. Wade did a great job remodeling my house. He is very detail oriented, I received a very detailed quote before the remodeling started and we stayed within this quote except additional items that I was adding during the project. His team is very experienced in any aspect of the house remodeling, they are open to help if something needs to be picked up from a store, have tons of contacts you may need like landscapers, cleaning, architects, engineers, etc. Wade and his team also redone a couple of things at no extra charge when I wasn't absolutely happy. It was a fantastic experience and I'll definitely go with Wade for my next project.

After a long search and having no luck finding a company to handle the work needed in and around our new home, we found Wade and his expert team. Every job from kitchen, lighting, electrical, plumbing, and so much more was carefully handled and executed to perfection. From the most challenging down to the simplest of tasks this is a business that does what they say they’re going to do and won’t stop until you are 100% satisfied.

Wade is an incredible agent. I would just stop reading here and hire him! Let me go into specifics:
1) Maybe you're like me and over-research everything and find a hard time finding good agents/vendors. Well, I will tell you he is that person you strive to find.
2) Wade is incredibly knowledgeable and hard-working. like every agent says they are, but he actually is. He is working for YOU as your agent. He always goes the extra mile, and does it without prompting. He will anticipate issues and look into them and if you're purchasing it remotely, he will go to the property and walk you through anything you need to know. Rest assured, he has looked into everything and called all the experts needed if he doesn't have the answer.
3) Wade knows people. He is well-connected and can find the answer to whatever you need. He has people for everything and will vet them himself before suggesting anyone. If you need answers from the city and need a pool person and a specialty plumber...done. He is the ultimate agent if you're doing a remote deal.
4) Wade is somehow always available to talk to you, even while juggling all his clients. You always have those freak-out moments when purchasing real estate, it never goes as smooth as you thought you would, and Wade is there to hold your hand through the entire transaction and beyond.
5) Wade is personable and easy to talk to. This is a huge decision you're making and having someone that doesn't give you anxiety is a huge plus since the process can already seem overwhelming.

The real estate world can be tricky. An agent can make or break your transaction and future investments. Wade is that diamond in the rough that once you find, you hold onto. Agents like him don't really come around very often.

Short story - Wade is a God sent agent for investors.
Long story: I was an out of state buyer on 1031 facing a disappearing supply. Wade was able to maneuver the market to park my investment. Not only that, he offered his network of local professionals from mortgage broker to designer.
Also, in the market tight on available construction crews, Wade is helping to arrange contractors to get my properties rent ready.
These days - it is hard to know whom you can trust. If you are an investor - save Wade into your contact book. He genuinely takes care of his clients.
Ah, forgot one more key quality for Wade: He is an expert negotiator. You do want to have him represent you. During 4 buying transactions that he helped me to make, he scratched up for me extra $73k that I didn't even think I could get. And that is during a solid sellers market!

My husband and I worked with Wade Petrowich to sell two of our investment properties this summer (2021). We've bought and sold many homes in our lives and working with Wade has been the best real estate experience we've ever had. He made it so fast, easy and problem free. The first home sold within hours of listing at the full listing price! We then listed another home and it sold within the first day at $105,000 over the listing price! During the escrow process, he worked diligently with the buyers to ensure that their concerns were addressed. This was especially tricky when our long-term tenants did not move out by the closing date of the 2nd property. He skillfully helped us work through the problems this created. We ultimately sold the home to the same buyers and everyone is happy - we're even friends with these buyers/new owners! Wade was also critical in helping us purchase a replacement property during a very tight market. He saved us over $50K in the purchase price during a "Seller's Market" and we ended up with a beautiful property! I must first state that Wade at Malbec Realty has been excellent to work with! My family and I began the home buying process all the way across the country in NC in the beginning of 2021. I have Rheumatoid Arthritis and other autoimmune issues that impact my joints, so my rheumatologist prescribed a move to the Desert as one of my treatments. However! Due to it being a pandemic, we'd be moving into a home and an area 'Sight Unseen'! Thus, we required a Real Estate agent who had professionalism, patience, knowledge of the area, and someone who'd be willing to go the extra mile for us to find a great home: All of which Wade Petrowich encompasses. Wade’s team is the best!!! Remodel included cabinetry, plumbing, electrical, painting, and HVAC installation. All contractors arrived as scheduled and were professional and efficient.
