About Will
Born and raised in Richmond, Will graduated from Douglas Freeman High School’s Center for Leadership, Government & Global Economics. Deciding to stay closer to home he continued his studies double majoring in Economics and Commerce and Religion while graduating with honors in each major from Hampden-Sydney College in 2006. He began his career as a Real Estate Agent with Joyner Fine Properties upon graduation. During his college years and for a short time after graduation he also worked as a real estate title examiner researching the real estate records of many of the Central Virginia record rooms gaining knowledge of the settlement process exposing him to a vital component of the process of buying and selling property in Virginia. Growing up in a family of general contractors, he was exposed to the construction industry from the very beginning, learning a great deal about many of the components that go into building a home, renovating a home, best building practices, design, and how to diagnose and address existing problems that can plague many Richmond area homes.
Early in 2013, Will’s parents approached him about helping them in their renovation and addition business, Guza Company, while continuing in his real estate sales career. At this point he saw a great opportunity to add to his knowledge of residential properties and bring a whole new dynamic to his skill set as a Real Estate Agent. Since that time, he has helped manage Guza Company as a Vice-President and assisted in all stages for countless renovations, additions, repairs, and updates to many different types of homes in the Greater Richmond Area. Currently, as a fourth-generation player in his family’s business, he is continuing the tradition of high-quality service and craftsmanship that his parents have built as a staple of our business for so many years.
This experience as a renovator has provided countless benefits to his Real Estate career. In an effort to change the way we look at the services provided by Real Estate Agents, Will is able to deliver added value to a real estate sales and buying transactions through his experience in the renovation industry. Identifying problems and offering solutions, sharing contacts from his database of trusted professionals, design and feasibility knowledge, project budgeting, and management of renovation and repair projects from start to finish are only a few of the added benefits his clients are able to obtain when working with him. Moreover, he has experience in flipping houses as well as owning investment property and is able to identify and help his clients achieve their goals in adding to their residential real estate portfolios.
He has a passion for homes and takes the time to educate his clients on the possibilities that exist for their dreams as well as the solutions present for the challenges they face in their current homes or in their future homes. He firmly believes that it is time that clients start demanding a higher level of expertise and knowledge from their sales representatives so that they can make better and more informed decisions and Will stands ready to fill this need.
