Will Maberry didn't so much choose real estate ... as it chose him.
Will spent his childhood days dreaming of and drawing his future home plans. When it came time to pursue a course of study in college, he was naturally drawn to architecture. He enrolled at the University of Florida, where he studied for the better part of two years.
In love with his design courses, but not being away from his home in northwest Florida, he made the decision to transfer to the University of West Florida. The environment was more in keeping with the education system he had been accustomed to – smaller academic and creative learning groups and navigating his studies with the same small circle.
At the University of West Florida, Will pushed himself outside his comfort zone, choosing a major in public relations and marketing. He became actively involved in the local chapter of the American Advertising Federation, where he made a connection that would chart the course of his career. In 2005, he was hired by then Destin Real Estate Company, a firm focused on selling luxury properties, offering him the perfect blend of opportunities: Marrying his degree in communications with his love of architecture.
In 2014, Destin Real Estate Company affiliated with Sotheby's International Realty, with Will still at the helm of its marketing department. During the company's evolution, he has seen his home communities grow and change and has built strong relationships with his colleagues, both locally and globally.
He enjoys the role he's been able to play in the growth of the company, particularly in developing systems and processes that have led to Scenic Sotheby's International Realty becoming the leading real estate firm in the area. In 2020, the company led the Emerald Coast market with more than $1.6 billion in sales volume.
Will is a licensed REALTOR® and has received the company's Most Valuable Player award on multiple occasions.
