I loved being part of the athletic department and being involved. But was not a very safe campus (fights, shootings. drugs, guns on campus)

Personally, I feel like there is a lot of problems at West Mesa. There are so many lockdowns due to a variety of safety issues on campus. Even though I have never had a bad interaction, I hear a lot of stories about how staff and students can be disrespectful. There are many good things about the school as well though.

I am thrilled to share my wonderful experience at West Mesa High School. Thought these four years of high school I was able to grow as a person, learn valuable skills, and create strong relationships with others. The school's emphasis on inclusivity, and diversity has allowed me to become part of a new community.

We left a higher rated school due to bullying, teacher inadequacies and principle unresponsiveness. I regret not moving my child earlier. My daughter has thrived since the move. We were worried due to rating sites like this one. I am very glad we did not go by what we saw/read here.

For the most part it’s ok. There are some wonderful teachers who have and continue to have a positive impact on my child’s learning. Mr. Andrew Vigil and Ms. LouAnn Fayter are two that make such a difference in their students lives and their learning.

My wife and myself both went to West Mesa Class of 91 and it was a great school back then over crowded bust still a lot of successful adults came out of that area.
