Teachers and students are great. Lots of new kids from bigger schools though which is affecting the school negatively. There's too many open enrolled for the teacher to be able to handle teaching them all at once and they new students have not adjusted to the kind hearted small school feel which dampens the attitude of the school in general

Alburnett High School has many positives and negatives to it. It is a small school which is nice because you are able to interact with the teachers more in one on one sessions. This can also be a bad thing though because it's such a small school you don't get as many options for classes and other opportunities that other schools get. Being in a small school is what I prefer though because this way I am able to know everyone that goes to our school. Sometimes in the hallways, I also get to see my younger siblings, which is nice. The classes are also smaller so we get more mixed classes. In a lot of my classes, I have people from the grade above and below me. This makes it so that I get to know more people. Alburnett may not be the best school but there are still many positives to it and I am glad I go there.

I am a senior at Alburnett and I don't want to leave. I love the small-town feel it has and everyone is very supportive.
