I can safely say I have enjoyed my time at Alden High School so far. While the community is not the most diverse, compared to other school, the school offers many unique activities to enrich the student experience. This includes WACS News, the ATLAS team, and Bulldog Manufacturing.

Alden High School has Block Scheduling. I would like to see this changed. It was hard for me to remember things taught the year before as there is a gap in courses due to the block scheduling. I did not like it and it effected my English regents. Its a small school so limited on sports offered and clubs that I could join. Also with the block scheduling I received very little homework which was not helpful because I did not learn time management or how to study for tests.

I liked the atmosphere of the school. The principals are very nice and the teachers are great. They always help you with any problems that you have. One thing I would like to see changed is the facilities. Too many kids vape in the bathrooms and they are poorly taken care of throughout the day

School leadership is inept. Teachers and Team Coaches should be building fine young men and women - not trying to be cool or friends with students. Closing bathrooms due to vaping is not a solution. Control the vaping in school.

The upper Leadership (Principles) are very inconsistant and tend to stretch the truth . My children came from a much larger school from the suburbs where they don't sweat the small stuff . And now that we are in Alden I can not believe how ridiculous they are in handling matters and situations with...
