New to the area and Va. First conversation with our 5th grade teacher she told my son and I they didnt teach History in 5th grade anywhere in VA because the state test was Science. She continued to tell us the focus is science because thats what they are tested on. Also, the book the class will be working with this year is a 4th grade level book (I'll keep the title to myself) . The SAME book my son studied in Language Arts in 4th. She also added she only reads it to the class, the kids are not required to read it. To say the least we are VERY disappointed in this school and the LOW LOW LOW academic expectations and offerings.

While I understand that every teacher and classroom dynamic is unique, I feel it is important to bring to attention some issues that have arisen with the treatment of my child by his current teacher....

Best teachers and a great principal, All teachers are very nice and welcoming the student very well. Even During weekend my kids says the missed their teacher and school

Terrible sixth-grade teachers hold important assignments and give them last minute, lazy with grades too.

We moved to Fairfax two years ago. My daughter went to Franconia School 5 grade and 6 grade. Not a good school anymore. I have friends that their kids went to that school and had a great time. My daughter had a bad experience and lack of support from staff, kids are racist and bullies.Not a good sch...
