The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

i'm not going to be silent about my experience here. to say this school caused me to have severe anxiety, mental illness, and the inability to drive past this school without feeling suffocated, would be an understatement. sophomore year was really rough for me here and no one had my back. my counselor took a long time to change my classes after one of the AP teachers said "you guys are all gonna fail this exam anyway"... then i was publicly humiliated by the other AP euro teacher, so i couldn't even take those classes. the teachers here don't take mental health seriously, yet they preach about it so much. i was refused an accommodation simply because i was newly diagnosed with mental illnesses, yet a few kids i knew who had the same issues were given the opportunity to still attend school. i had to retake my first semester classes and continue to go to another school on top of that. because of anhs, i can no longer attend my dream university. this school doesn't care about students.

Good teachers, bad administration. Sports are a little underfunded but nice school. Curriculum is at an adequate level.

ANHS is a great school. My child took AP courses and was well prepared for life after graduation. The teachers cared about her progress helping her in any way they could. She made many friends and still has those friendships today. People giving this school a 1 star review need to attend an actual 1...

My child takes mostly AP classes and has been on a fairly rigorous academic track. The school offers many classes and clubs that support his long term goals in life as far as giving him the credentials and experience needed to pursue a top tier university. However, the school overall lacks significa...

My son is a Junior at this school and I feel like he’s just lost in a very large crowd where teachers barely know him. He’s doing very well with his school, has great grades being in the top 10% of his class, has is always very nice and helpful, but it seems he never gets any recognition about anyth...
